What is acupuncture?

Does acupuncture hurt?

What is cupping therapy?
Cupping therapy uses gentle suction to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, and reduce pain.
It is often used for back, shoulder, and neck tightness.
What do cupping marks mean?
They usually fade within a few days.
Does it hurt?
What are the different types of cupping?
- Stationary: Cups placed on specific points.
- Sliding: Oil is applied to the skin and cups are moved across the muscles
- Fire: A cotton ball is soaked in alcohol then lit and briefly placed in a glass cup to create a vacuum suction.
- Flash: Cups are repeatedly applied and removed quickly to stimulate a specific area.
Who should avoid cupping?
- People with areas with active skin inflammation, sunburns, open wounds
